PARASITIC ;; HAIR MANIPULATION

Ella’s hair is incredibly strong and sharp. Each strand is strengthened to deflect any damage dealt, but is also thin and sharp enough to cause injuries.

OFFENSE ;; Her hair can be used as blades, or as tiny needles strand by strand. They tend to be very accurate, even though her attacks are usually a flurry of cuts.
DEFENSE ;; Since her hair is very strong and can’t be cut, the strands can also form a protective shield around her or her teammates.
DRAWBACK ;; Ella’s hair is extremely heavy, and makes up the majority of her weight. She prefers to sit while in battle and let her hair do all the work, since standing takes up more of her energy. Even while standing, she’ll usually need the help of her wings to keep her up, but she wouldn’t be able to fly. Her hair length can’t be controlled either, but it’s very long, as it reaches to the floor while she’s standing.

BUBBLY & OPTIMISTIC ;;

Ella can be very happy-go-lucky, always seen with a smile on her face. She tries to bring out the best in everyone and is good at cheering people up, never liking it if others are depressed for some reason. She can be quite enthusiastic with whatever she’d be faced with, taking things in stride and just having fun with life. Even if the situation may be gloomy, she always tries to find the good side in everything, remaining idealistic and certain.

FRIENDLY & CONFIDENT ;;

To go along with her bright attitude, Ella can seem amiable to anyone, stranger or not. She’s always willing to make new acquaintances with everyone she meets, and doesn’t judge a person right away. Being a ‘seeing is believing’ type of person, she doesn’t really care for rumors or gossip about people, only believing in them once she interacts with the person herself. Ella comes off as quite bold and open, which can sometimes be overwhelming for the more reserved or shy types. She tends to tone herself down if she sees that she’s making someone uncomfortable, but she still tries to initiate a conversation with them.

NAIVE & MOODY ;;

Because of her kind-hearted nature, Ella can come off as innocent or childish from time to time, even if she may not be. Always seeing the best in everything can also make her blind to glaring faults, which are things she tends to ignore, consciously or not. Though she is friendly, she can be moody as well to certain people or situations, especially when things don’t go her way. She can become pouty and annoyed, but these moments don’t tend to last long, and she quickly goes back to normal after finding something else to distract herself with.

CLINGY & NEGLECTFUL ;;

Once Ella finds a potential friend, she tends to hang around them a lot, and doesn’t leave them for a while. She’d treat them like they’re her best friend until she finds another one, in which she neglects the previous friend. Of course, even if she wouldn’t give them as much attention as before, she’d still act the same as before and act like she did nothing wrong. Because of this, she usually loses friends as quickly as she makes them, unless they were fine with her behaviour. Her inattentive attitude can also be seen with daily things, by forgetting to do chores or assignments, though she gets right on them once someone reminds her.

Her personality doesn’t change in her ZERO form, though she does become slightly lazier since it takes more effort to move around.

CHILDHOOD

Ella was a single child, born to two busy parents in Zone 2. It was a big risk for them, since they were afraid as to whether or not they’d be able to handle her with their schedules, but they raised her well in the midst of their jobs. Her life was pretty average as she grew up, though a bit lonelier since she was left alone most of the time. Still, she became a good kid through her years, even if she did have her rebellious and experimental phases. Her parents, although strict, were very loving and understanding, so she had plenty of room and freedom to do what she wished.

ACCIDENT

During her summer break, Ella’s parents proposed a camping trip to the outskirts of the city, to enjoy their time with each other before she went off to college. Since her parents were usually busy and rarely had time to be with her, she agreed right away. They left early morning and camped out for a few days in the forests, bonding as well as enjoying the peace of nature. Since her parents needed to get back to work soon, they had leave within the three days, though they stayed the last night a little later, savoring their time. As a thank you, Ella drove the way back for them, so that they could sleep during the ride and not be tired at work the next morning. She handled night driving well for the first hour, though after awhile, she couldn’t help but get drowsy. She was usually fine with pulling off all-nighters, but she guessed she got a little too tired out from the camping that it started to affect her this time. She pushed through though, not wanting to stall and make them late, ignoring the way that she nodded off. When she saw an upcoming truck, she closed her eyes for a moment from the light, taking that as an excuse even if it was odd that the truck was straight across from her.

The next time she woke up was a day later, and in a hospital bed. She found it confusing that she was covered in bandages, until she remembered what she did. She asked the doctors right away as to what happened, and where her parents were. What scared her the most wasn’t that they were dead, but that she wasn’t surprised about that. It was her fault, she could’ve prevented this, and now she’d forever regret it.

Though Ella was sure she’d be charged with vehicular manslaughter, she lucked out in court when it was found out that the truck driver was under the influence. He apparently was charged multiple times before, and was overall more reckless than she could ever be. Considering she also seemed far more innocent than that man, the jury swayed to her favor after listening to her lawyer’s reasoning, and she retained her clean record. Ella felt guilty for putting the blame on that man even if it was all her fault, but after hearing from her lawyer beforehand that he had previous offenses, and that he was a bigger danger to the public, she justified her actions by keeping silent about her fatigue.

;; She avoids driving cars and prefers walking or using the train. She’d be okay with driving herself somewhere, but if there’s someone else in the car with her, she’d refuse to drive.

;; She hates talking about the accident, since it gives her a migraine every time she thinks about it. She shuts down a bit too, and becomes a lot more meek.
